As an added feature to the overall terminal project, the airport now offers Internet connectivity in the departure lounge and restaurant via a wireless signal. The Cisco Aironet 342 Wireless Access Point operates at 11 megabits per second (mbps) and is based on the IEEE 802.11b wireless standard. This 2.4Ghz frequency range allows users to connect at a very high rate of speed for Internet browsing.

As many laptop manufacturers are now integrating wireless equipment into their computers, this technology is becoming more prevalent and commonplace, so soon no additional hardware will be necessary. The coverage area of the unit is anywhere in the Subway restaurant and Departure Lounge area, although there may be some reception in the airport terminal concourse.

The primary advantage of this technology is to assist the business traveler in staying connected as well as the ability to gain network access, without having to "plug-in" to a data drop or phone line. This wireless technology gives someone the freedom to check corporate email or browse the Internet while waiting for a flight or having something to eat. The Airport Business Center is open from 5:00 AM until 11:00 PM to provide business professionals with a quiet and convenient site to complete those important business tasks. Private work stations, data ports and telephones are conveniences available in the business center along with a Flight Information Display Monitor displaying up-to-the-minute airline flight information. These essential tools, combined with the ease of mind knowing the status of your flight, creates for a productive work setting conducive to accomplishing your business goals.

Work station utilization is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not required. Telephones and data ports may be utilized for a nominal fee.
